Fuji XF90mm f/2 or XF50-140mm f/2.8

Is 90mm going to be long enough for animal ?,plus with 50-140 your going to get the 1x4 converter soon,floral/landscapes you should be covered by the 10-24 & portraits the 56mm,i just cant see the 90mm adding anything to the type of photography you take :).

I can see what minnt mean about the 55-200mm,if the light is good its not a to bad animal lens,but again would you need the 90mm ?
 
Id be torn between the two, the zoom would be better for the few weddings I do, but I do love a long prime. Aperture has little difference especially with the 50-140 having linage stabilisation.

Touch choice, so buy both!
 
90mm then get yourself the 100-400mm next year, should cover your long lenses :runaway:
 
Appreciate the comments about the 90mm being smaller and lighter. I got a 50-140 just before my recent holiday, and was initially a bit worried about the size and weight. As it turned out, I liked the lens so much I left it on most of the time (using a black rapid strap it was perfectly comfortable wandering around Spain in 30 degrees plus).
 
It would but the compression on the shots would make it awesome. I think out of the two I'd get the 50-140 though as it's more flexible, suits what I need better and will work with the upcoming 1.4x

I have a couple of these. They look and feel very good, but I haven't shot with them yet.
