Had an interesting conversation with Tony at UK Digital this morning. They're the sole distributor for Venus Laowa here in the UK and I noticed they didn't list the Fuxi X (with adapter) option for the 60mm Ultra Macro. I asked him about it and he said Laowa just send an appropriate adapter for Fuji X. "OK', I said "but how do I know what original mount I'm going to get? They could send me a Canon mount, Nikon mount, Sony, Pentax etc (all those mounts are produce as fixed mounts on the lens) and I'd have no idea which original mount I was getting until it arrived as there's no option on their website to select say: Nikon with Fuji X adapter. The only option is "Fuji X (with adapter)"."

He agreed and said it would probably be pot luck as to what stock they were holding most of at the time. I ordered a Nikon mount from him (since I'll be using other Nikon lenses with my X-T1) and can just use my existing Nikon to FX adapter. In the future, should I want to sell the lens, it will probably be a whole lot easier to sell a Nikon or Canon mount lens than a Pentax or Sony..

He also chatted about the new 105mm 2.8 STF. They're hoping to get stock mid to late March. Not sure how much folks have read about the lens but he said their would be an aperture ring, as on the 60mm (still no AI - all fully manual) and a second ring that would effectively allow the photographer to adjust the "bokeh" via an apodisation filter on the fly during composition, which, if it works as advertised would be a nice feature. It's designed as a portrait lens.
