Another good find yesterday, wandering around on the top of my fence. I thought it was a black ant queen at first (it was about the same size) but the eyes told me it was a wasp rather than an ant...

Agreed what a find... I found another type in location it wasn't able to fly yet but it bounced around and was nigh impossible to shoot.

So massive respect for getting this shot and even more respect for shooting it so fantastically.

LOLS.. thanks guys. My favourite (technically) is #1. #2 I liked the graphic composition and #3 showed the swollen abdomen I was discussing on the flickr page (whilst keeping the eye in focus), but would have preferred a lower angle and not have it facing away slightly. That was my reasoning behind choosing these three, and it covered the species from the important angles. I have many others of more questionable quality!
