Critique Gannet at Bempton Cliffs

I found it a challenge to get a good exposure on this mostly white Gannet on a White Cliff in bright sunshine, despite getting there very early before the sun was full.

Nikon D500 + 500PF + 1.4TC - 1/800th f8 ISO280 HH Spot Focus and Spot Exposure

Nice setting with the flowers but the attempt to save the whites has been over-cooked and the bird's feathers look grey

It looks pretty good to me, TBH, but maybe you *could* add a little more exposure or change the white point a little to get a bit of the sparkle back.

I agree with gramps, a really nice image, but I think you may have reduced the highlights too much
