Genus variable ND filter

Has anyone used the Genus variable ND filter? What do you think of it?

I know there are other variations but it is the genus one I've been offered so I am just looking for peoples thoughts on this specific make.

I can't speak to the brand, but what is your intended use - which camera body, which focal length range, photo or video?

I had a Fader ND MKII by LightCraftWorkshop and returned it as for my needs it was unusable. Thread here - http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=225702&highlight=fader. The problem is inherent in this type of product and not brand specific. It would be worth reading through the limitations listed here for the Fader ND, as I'm sure they will apply to the Genus as well....

For telephoto work, say from 200mm and above I have read that the IQ can downgrade significantly, which is not so bad for video, but is a problem for high resolution stills photography.
