Hi everyone,
On Sunday I took some photographs of a mates band during a live gig. I have got 3 or 4 shots which I intend to email the band and also print hard copy so they have something tangible to look at.
All the shots are black and white and they are very dark which I liked. I had to shoot at 800 ISO for most of them with my Canon 450d. When it comes to getting them printed I wanted some help on the following.
1) What size would be best to print at considering the ISO? I wanted A4 ideally but i don't know if they will really break up at this size, would this be ok or would it be advisable to print smaller and if so what size?
2) I wanted to print on a glossy photo paper, can anyone recommend a good one fo dark black and white shots?
3) When I resize the image in photoshop what size should I resize it to in order to get decent resolution? is there anything I can do to boost resolution?
4) I will have to pay to get the images printed, will they look pretty much as they do on screen as I have adjusted the levels/contrast etc in photoshop and I don't want to spend money getting them printed only to realise they are a lot lighter/darker when I get the prints than they are on screen.
I would really appreciate everyone's thoughts on this and I am very grateful for any advice that you guys can offer up.
Thanks
Dan
