Glasgow shots

The third has some promise but I think a more constrasty conversion would help. The second has some interesting colours and textures but is not wonderfully composed - nothing draws the eye through the shot. The first wanted a thinner depth of field to draw the eye to a plane in the shot.

Thanks Phil,

Re no1: I shot it at f1.8 with a 35mm prime. I'm not sure I could have got shallower depth of field. I take your point, though, the eye is drawn to the beams on the roof rather than the figures.

I think I'd prefer number 1 without the figures, or maybe with an interesting sharp figure. The beams are great, a good strong, gritty image possible there I think.

I like number 3 too and agree with Phil about contrast. Also would prefer that one without the car.

Nice sharp lens. I've got mine on my camera practically all the time.
