Ive stuck with XP Pro since it came out, i moved to Vista on several occasions and still own several computers with Vista installed but i cant get used to it.
With XP all my programs snap open almost instantly apart from adobe products which go through the usual wind up procedure, even when opened using Elements 2.0 i can open 100 files simultaniously and Xp played with it, Vista always hung after about 5 files
Everything just seemed sluggish with Vista, even when it was doing something in the background you never had confidence it was going to complete it in a reasonable time.
I realise i will have some software compatibility issues if i upgrade but will 7 be more responsive than Vista and will it be as snappy as XP
Does Windows 7 see more than 3.5gb ram or does it still need to be a 64 bit version running.
Thanks
