good memory cards?

Dont buy memory cards from Ebay - indeed an unbranded one.

Could easily be a fake which doesnt live up to what you need / short lifespan.

Buy a memory card from a trusted shop and brand, that way you have less chance of loosing your 2GB of photographs if the unbranded breaks due to poor manufacturing.

I recently bought a pair of 4GB Sandisk cards from 7dayshop.com for about £10 each, and an 8GB card for £16. Camera shops tend to be devilishly expensive for cards etc.

Added to that - they were SD cards which seem to be a tiny bit cheaper....

ok ty for the advise, only thing is it cost £20 from local camera shop, n that seems rather steep. hmm anyone else got any thoughts?

Amazon + other respected photography online stores can do them slightly cheaper.

Again - you are best of buying a respected and trusted brand from a known retailer just incase you do happen to receive a bog-standard fake from ebay.

A fake what? The seller says they are unbranded, so can't be a fake. Like everything else, you get what you pay for, mostly.
I have one that looks just like the one in the auction, its stuck in my bag for emergencies, on the odd occasion I have used it, it,s fine, has been for 2 years.

i read somware that those kingston ones are only compatible with cannon, is that rubish (they said it was somthing to do with the way it was formated)

Yep, thats rubbish!

Buy from reputable dealers. Ordering batteries and memory cards from that flea market ebay is begging for trouble and grief. Amazon is a good place too with competitive prices.

Yep, wouldn't buy a card from e-bay

Try Amazon / 7dayshop / Play and some also rec mymemory (although I've not used them). It's also worth looking at Dixons / PCW / Currys etc as sometimes they have good on-line deals and you can collect at store / free del.
