Google Images

[skiking]

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere so sorry if it has but Google have just released a search facility based on photographs rather than text so you can see if other sites are using your photographs.

As no one is likely to nick my pics  I can't test it but there have been plenty of discussions on here about organisations (mainly Daily Mail :shake: ) using photographs without permission. You simple drag'n'drop your picture in the search bar (select Images from the top first) then hit search.....be interesting to see the results as I'm quite sceptical about how this can work.

True true, got me a new pair of DC's and a snowboard jacket. (after some scrupulous internet searching)

Fair trade off i think

I thought some eagle eyed person would have spotted it earlier. I did get the impression this was a new feature and not release several months ago

Glad I found this thread I did a small search after reading this and have so far found 2 of my images that are being used commercially with out my permission or knowledge
have emailed both and just got an answer back from one of them apologizing and saying it will be taken off there website
there excuse is that they use a third party company in regards to there website and will be asking them to remove it pronto
not sure how I stand as regards getting any payment or compensation in this matter
any advice would be appreciated
the company is in the USA that has responded to me

and thanks to the OP who put me onto this search engine
Chris
