Gorilla from London Zoo

I was lucky enough to get anywhere near the enclosure as it was mid summer holidays and there were thousands of people there! Crit welcome!

Nice shot, with good colours, but I think I'd suggest cropping a little tighter - the gorilla looks a bit lost in the frame IMO :shrug:

Thanks, I will give the crop ago. I left it as is as I felt the background helped the scene but I will see what I can do and post the results back up here!

I agree - I suggest trying to crop down to the bottom right corner of the picture (i.e. take out the b/g to the left and above the gorilla, but leave in that to the right.

That should help with the balance as well.

Christ he is a big fella, I like the cropped version and it looks like its in its natural habitat not a zoo.

Thanks for that, I was lucky in the gorillas positionsing and that I could find somewhere to stand that gave a decent view without getting loads of people in the shot! It was a couple of days after they had got their new potential silverback and they were still making the introductions, so it was pretty busty with lots of people interested.
