When I shot this scene I wanted to bring out the sky and the waves at the same time. I decided that in order for me to do this is converting it to Monochrome. For me the stillness of the rocks amidst the fury of the waves and the calmness of the clouds/ sky complements each other like yin and yang..

Always lovely Karlo. I notice your seas and skies are usually tonally very similar, a silver/grey in mono. Our seas here are darker.

thanks horrocks, i don't know about the color of the seas maybe because of the sea bed is different or time of shot? it would be best for conversion to mono if the sea is darker i think..

Stunning. Yeah maybe the sea could be darker and the sky stormier but you can't control everything with a lens right?
