Anyone had a problem with one of these meters eating batteries.

I got the meter in May and it's on it's 3rd battery (CR2032).
The manual states that the meter has no on/off switch because battery consumption is so low.
That's twice have I have been about to use the meter only to have the "bat" indication which means the meter cannot be used.

About to email the supplier, but I'll not want a replacement if this is common.

Can be as much as a couple of weeks.

Maybe worth mentioning that I put a meter on the battery and it is reading 2.98 Volts whereas a new 3V CR2303 gives 3.14 Volts.

That's quite a drop on a device that is supposed to have an extremely low current drain.
