Greenfinch in rather a prickly bush. Taken last Friday on a visit to Fairburn on a rather dull, cold morning.

Hi Gordon, lovely and crisp however I am seeing that magenta cast that I saw in your Chaffy shot you posted the other day, not sure if it's the background doing it

Hi Martyn, I think it must be the background together with the lighting on the day, not the best for photography. Both shots were taken close together time wise. Hardly any PP done other than selective black point in levels off the birds eye and a tweak in curves. Thanks for the comment.

Could be the stems, brambles especially are that dark purple red colour

Lovely capture Gordon, would agree about the cast and also to my eye it looks a little contrasty.
