Was going to see the Gumball kick off from london this sunday but after seeing the size of the crowds last year me and a mate decided to head down to folkstone to mee them there and get some pics. unfortunutly for us his engine management light came on along the M20 so we had to pull over. the spot we got wasnt great and i managed to get a lampost in loads of the shots lol.

anyway, here's a little selection of my favourites.

All pics were taken on my Nikon D50 with nikon 55-200mm lens set to Shutter Priority mode. non of the pictures have been cropped of messed about with in photoshop except for one which i cloned out a lamppost in front of the car.

and its typical that my 70-300 lens turns up today. could of done with it on sunday.
 
yup as noted above it.

it was so funny because the enzo was in front of it and the enzo dropped a gear and floored it and the bugatti just made a little whistling noise and stuck right behind him lol.

seriously sexy car that.
 
Woops I aparently can't read. That car is an orgasm on wheels!! What I wouldn't give for a ride in one.

lol, i was talking to my mate on the way to folkstone and i said i would quite happily pay £100 to be taken for a drive up the road in it. and on sunday i definutely would pay it.

If you're a stunning 20 year old blonde female model with large breasts, a willing attitude like that may work wonders with somebody who owns one ;)

They are indeed lovely cars, that's the second one I've seen up close, however I have to say the XJ220 beats it on looks and the Ultima GTR that was in front of it spanks it for performance (The Ultima is capable of 0->100->0 in under 10 secs)

i do like the XJ220 and its still a great car even today.

as for the ultima well its nothing compared to the Veyron.

just found this -
The 1890kg £880,000 Bugatti ripped through the gears to hit 60mph in 2.8sec and 100mph in an astonishing 5.5sec. It then stopped in just 3.4sec, giving a 0-100-0mph time of 9.9sec.

ahh so thats what those people were doing standing on the bridge over the m20 at brands hatch when i was leaving
not a big fan of the gumball myself. loads of rich tossers showing off isnt something i want to see.

what would have been cool is if they had all been at folkestone during the earthquake.. loads of rich tossers under a pile of bricks is something i would def pay to see :) :)

i wouldnt mind one of those police volvos though :)
 
the ferrari f40, the veron and the Enzo where at brandshatch on the Saturday did some laps at lunch.

The F40 sounded mega at idle, the Enzo was a great match sound wise on the track to the F40. the Bugatti sounded asmatic (sp) maybe fast but sounded horrid, and looks horrid imho, id prefer the f40 or Enzo.

Unlike my Spitfire pics which was doing over 200mph. :LOL:

Only joking Daz. I like the F40 but I wouldn't be covering it in stickers :thinking:

hahaha, the pug was the highlight lol.

the best car of the day was the M5 police car that went past us first, was doing well over a 100mph and about 20seconds after a volvo traffic car shot past in the fast lane going even faster lol. i wonder if he caught him lol.
 
As a Volvo driver - I'd go for the police car (probs a T5) everytime!!!

On a different note however, I can't believe no one has commented on that guys hideous pink shirt in picture 1 !!!!
