Hi guys,

I am planning to buy this tripod after i read some good reviews online. Has anyone got any opinion about this one? Basically i need a tripod within a budget of 40-50 quid. Let me know if you got any recommendation.

I have one if these here I can highly recommend it. Not the lightest or smallest, but superb for the money
 
Reasonably lightweight. Not the most sturdy - as you'd expect, given the price and the design to be "compact" and "traveller", but the legs seem to be fine.

The head that came with mine was absolutely rubbish though. I very quickly replaced it with a Manfrotto 494RC2 and the pairing has worked well for me.

I own a Slik tripod which costs around £55: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...r&tag=1567&=electronics&qid=1364898032&sr=1-1 and am very happy with it. I also have a heavier Manfrotto tripod but I use the Slik most of the time (especially for landscapes where I have to walk any distance with it) due to the lower weight/size and because it easily fits onto the side or inside of a backpack and on the side of a camera rucksack. You will probably eventually want to replace the head it comes with with something better though.
 
I bought the hama compact after i ruined my £12 one and its pretty decent, rugged and lightweight. I am, however, not taking it with me on my trip to the states *** i cba with the bother of lugging it through the airports.
