The colour is a result of using daylight flash for the main light source and a white LED combined with a long shutter speed for the fill in light. As the white LED was a very cold blue/white is came out a deeper blue on the film. I will admit I didn't foresee HOW blue it would be, and that was a happy accident :)
 
I hope so.. the client paid me quite a lot for it :)
 
The client got a very good deal imho. An excellent shot and a great example of how good film is. I don't think a digital image would have looked as good as this, top work.

Stunningly good image, did you by chance take a shot of it with the D800 using the same lighting?
 
Nope. I was in the studio, and I still use either large or medium format film or a Phase One back for digital in the studio. The D800 is for out and about.
 
Very high quality image, great light and exposure and just bags of large format detail!

Not your average product shot in my view!
