Has anyone here... removed their samyang 8mm FE lens hood?

As per the title, I purchased one and will be using it on full frame.
I was just wondering if anyone had completed the removal process themselves?
It seems a little drastic and un-neccessary to cut the hood when it can be simply removed, but that process appears to be reasonably complex also.

I am just wondering if anyone has done it and what method they used.
The method here seems simple enough, but I wasn't able to access the screws behind the hood:

I did a similar modification on a Rokinon 8mm T/3.8. It took a good pair of kitchen shears and 30 minutes. I believe the Rokinon and Samyang lens are almost identical, the difference is only the name on the barrel.
