Not posted in a long time but I now have got my macro kit together and am almost happy. I have a 2x TC then my Sigma 150mm macro then reversed a 50mm lens. I also have my extension tubes to add to this and with those am getting 3.5mm across the frame.

Well anyway here is one of my first macro shots taken on this setup and I'm fairly pleased with the result. Any C&C is welcomed

He just died when I said I wanted to photograph him and he needed to be very still

How far away from the lens is the subject in shots like those?

about 1/2 an inch to 1 inch. Only a guess as I'm about two feet in the other direction

lol, I think I'd be further away than that if I peered down the lens and saw those monsters staring back at me!

It was a tiny spider, my little girl picked it up after i took some photos of it and let it go in the garden
