Please could one of you lovely people offer help... I thought I may try some flash photography... I own a Canon 7Dmk11 and purchased a jessops 360 afdc flash gun.... Popped it on camera expecting it too work... The flash gun is set to ETTL as is same in camera, settings... But its not firing.. .... It fires when I Press test button though.... Help please...

Does the flash work in manual mode?
 
Do you have a friend with a camera you can try it on? It could be a lot of things, at least you know its a flash issue if it doesn't work on another camera. My suspicion is either the flash is duff, or they've given you the Nikon version.
