Help choosing tripod (£80-£100 budget)

Hi guys been looking for a new tripod but to be honest not sure what! Any advice would be great.

Im using a canon 50d and will mainly be used for landscapes ect
 
Slik Pro 400DX without question the best £80 I spent on photography gear. That or an older redsnapper. To put in perspective, I'm just contemplating upgrading it now after 2 years and I need to spend at least £300 to get to the next step, and £200 only really gets me the same as I have.

You can also look at the Velbon Sherpa range at a similar price...I had one for 3+ years before it had to be replaced..which I was very impressed at..my tripods suffer a lot of abuse..the get smacked of rocks, chucked about..there was lots of dents and scratches on my Velbon, it was light enough not to be worried about carrying it, stable and very adjustable from ultra low to really quite high...
 
Got a velbon at the mo and to be honest im struggling abit with it. Not that I dont think its going to last its just abit amateurish and clumsy

I bagged a second hand manfrotto 055xprob with 804rc head I think (Tilt, pan, swivel) for under 100 posted. Easily holds my 7d and 70-200 f 2.8 IS II and a cheapy yonguno flash gun without wobble AT ALL. Its super versatile as it can go lower than a professional Jamaican limbo'er and higher than the average person, also good for over head product/macro stuff.

Nearly got the carbon version on ebay for £130 with the head. Missed it though!
 
I see that currys do a range of manfrotto tri pods and they have one at the mo with £50 off £70 down from £120

I have a 190XPROB More (bagged one for £68 in lightning deals last year) with a Slik ballhead (£40) so total of just over £100 and very happy with that combo.

I think the 190 is around £100 normally though (legs only) unless you buy used.

TheSLIK 700DX was also very impressive when I was shopping around (around £120 with head) but too big and heavy for me - if you are going to use big lenses it would be one to look at though.

I also have a Slik Sprint Pro GM travel tripod which I use when hillwalking, for indoor use or when I want to have a tripod just in case - it's excellent, small and light and only around £60 but nowhere near as sturdy as the Manfrotto or Slik mentioned above. Giottos also do a decent tripod for around £100 which I think includes a head - friend has one and likes it a lot, not sure of the model number though - think it might be this one? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...567&colid=2DZ31L7V6Y57P&coliid=I1YBCNI8120MZ2

So it depends on use and how far you intend to carry it - the Slik Sprint is around 1kg and the Slik 700 is around 3kg. :) The 190 I think is around 2kg?

I have the xPROB also but a word of warning the cheaper Manfrotto's that Argos sells tend to be quite flimsy.
