Guys

I wonder if anyone can help?

I have been reading some of the posts on here and never realised before that, albeit slow, you can shoot tethered by using the software that came with my 400d.

Guess what - I can't find my disc as I never uploaded it - I use a card reader and then Adobe Bridge.

I wondered if anyone had a spare or not used copy of the disc that they wouldn't mind sending me to load - I would be more than happy to send it back once it was on my laptop??

Anyone help????

Thanks

Steve:shake:

you can download the software from canons website.

but it gets a little trickier, i think it is listed as updates, you need to download them all and then edit the registry. i had to do it myself (seem to have lost a few disks recently). the upgrade contains the full version, but as there is some folders missing from the registry it wont let you install without first creating the folders, i think i saved what you have to do on the comp at home, although i did get it from a website, i have no idea which one:)

i thought that you can only install updates to the software on the website?!?!?!... I would send you my disc but i have absolutly no clue were it be.

Thanks for the replies so far guys!

I have looked at the website and really struggled to download anything useable - I just wondered if anyone out there could help me with the easier option.

I think these discs must be like socks - always going missing! lol!

If you are "au fait" with editing the registry there is a hack into fooling the software that you got it installled and then the update (which is a full version) will install okay. Unfortunately I am at work so I haven't got it with me.

If you pm me I will send them to you tonight when I get home from work.

You cannot download the Canon software from the website as already stated. You can only uodate the Canon PP software from the website. I have had loads of problems trying to find the sotware of my own and in the end downloaded via torrent...got home and found the discs! Doh!
