Help. I need to reformat an external hard drive

I have just tried to instal an external hard drive for backing up my files. Its a Western Digital, My book studio. Out of the box its formated for Mac, so for my Windows XP it needs reformatting.

It tells me that I need to go to Disk Management to initialize my back up drive and create a partition for my OS.
Can someone tell me how I find Disk Management.

Control panel >> Admin Tasks >> Computer Management

Then it left hand pane you will find DISK MANAGEMENT
 
Right click on My Computer Icon on your Desk Top, Left click Manage, 2nd from bottom on the left hand side of the next box, click Disk Management..:)
