Help me buy a camera for relatives abroad

My sister lives abroad and her location is not exactly loaded with camera shops, internet is very sketchy and lucky if you keep a connection for more than 10mins. I received a email from her asking to search Amazon for example on a point & shoot compact.
The camera would be mainly used in Auto mode as manual settings would probably confuddle her

Her maximum budget is £300.00, I was looking at the Lumix LX7 as a possible choice for her. Would quality from shots in Auto be good with this camera and a low light shot in a bar ? No use in trying to teach her how to use manual settings, I've tried before and gave up
It would also need to fit in her handbag alongside the kitchen sink

If you can find a Fuji XF-1, get her one of them! Big thread on the baby X Fujis. Currys had them cheap a while back but may have run out of them by now. Her £300 would get her a Fuji case (fits like a glove and looks good) and a spare battery and cards.

i would opt for the fuji X-Q1.. its in budget . has wide F/1.8 lens, phase detection, 12 mp , 1 touch transfer to phone/tablet. 4x 25-100 zoom

( just skip to the conclusion if you dont want to read it all as it sums it up nicely ( and i would choose this over the XF1 )

fantastic tiny little camera with larger than normal 2/3 sensor ( at least larger than most other compacts and alot of bridge cameras too )

hunt around and you can find it sub £250. enough to get a spare battery and couple of SD cards too.

I love the xf1 and pics out of it but my wife hates the on/off using the lens. Must admit I think it will be the first thing to fail on the camera.
