Hi guys,

I am in need of a new bag. I am planning on going over to USA later on in the year and want to take my camera with me. So the bag will need to be small enough to check in as hang luggage. I would not mind this bag being my new bag to store all my gear or maybe if its cheap enough just a temporary bag for travelling.

The kit I have:

D300
Flashgun
70-200 2.8
18-70
50mm

Now for the states I am happy to just take:

D300
18-70
50

Now here is the kicker...

I want to also carry a netbook and at least a days clothes and a tooth brush!

So what would you guys suggest?

I currently use a Lowepro Offtrail 2 which is a brilliant bag that can hold everything even the camera with the 70-200 attached.

Now something like this:

Lowepro Compuprimus AW

Looks perfect but I am guessing pretty expensive

So does anyone know of something similar for a fair price? I am happy to go second hand or if anyone wants to lend me one I don't mind paying some rent!

Regards,

Doug

Hi,

I just bought a lowepro fastpack 350 - I have a nikon D5000, 18-55 kit lens, 55-200, & 50mm fixed. There's room for another 2 lenses and I can also carry my laptop, cokin P filter system, other circular filters, purse, mobile, external storage, reflector, can of pepsi max, tissues, car keys, lunch, and quite a lot of chocolate! :-) (and I really mean quite a LOT!!!!)

I'm only 5'2 and although quite a large rucksack, it's really comfy and very convenient with all it's pockets and you can access without having to put it down :)

only downside is there's nowhere to hook my tripod onto - unless I put it under one of the pocket flaps which are all really sturdy!

But on the positive side - it's smaller than 'hand luggage' size for most airlines!

And you might get a bargain if you keep your eye on here! :)
