Yes
Would like to offer firstly my condolences to the family of Jon Egging - these were taken at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta on Sunday 14th August.

I am planning to make a poster for my 3 year olds bedroom and have narrowed it down to these three - I cant pick any more so what do you lot think???

I only had a 55-200 and these are the best I could get, I know there are better photos out there, but I want him to have one of mine. Thanks Sam

thanks both, I saw that thread, thats where I got the idea from, I am wavering to number 2 but I am not sure!!! Decisions decisions, plus trying to get into the mind of a 3 year old!

 Why just the one

Why not all three & have #1 & #2 either side of #3

After some quick editting, I have to look at it every day as well as him, I think this is the one.

Thanks both.

Thanks, I think it needs one to be impactive :)

i like 3, not sure about the edit though, the blue is a bit artificial.

the blue is bright I have been thinking that, all I did was change the white balance to get to it. will have a play with the sky a bit and tone it down.

This is how i would edit it, i put your name on it just for ownership reasons.

Not sure about the vignette, but thats more the colour tones i'd be looking for.

thats better, what did you do?? Thanks

First i used curves adjustment, and made a white point selection on the smoke.
Next i used LAB mode to push the blues around the midpoint (gotta love LAB mode)<-EDIT using curves again (b channel)
Back to RGB mode
Next i used hue/sat, selected blues from drop down, used the +eye dropper to select the blue, and played with hue/sat/brightness.

EDIT-Did similar step with the reds on the jets

Lastly some selective noise reduction on the sky using a layer mask, you probably wont need this if you edit the original.

Adey:)

Nice shots. For me, shot 2 is the better but I think a montage of the three (or more if you have them) would be good.

BTW - the Eggman flew right hand outside of the Red Arrows trademark Diamond Nine formation.

I will look at all that tomorrow evening, as I would like to know how to get close myself, I may PM you, thanks for your help.
