Right now I have about £500 to spend on a body but in about 13 days this will be around £700 so what would you buy, I am besotted by the D2x as I had one before and it was just a fantastic camera, but I am also in with a slight chance of getting a 50D with grip for a bit less which means new glass.

what would you do if you were in the same predicament:shrug:

I reckon a bit of digging around would uncover a new D300 for that sort of money or not much more
 
Wouldn't even be considering the canon. Especially if you're limited to budget and you still have Nikon lenses??

I cant seem to make up me mind at the mo............D2X:love:....... or just try a Can... ca....cant even say it :lol:

I do like the 50D though as the 15mp appeal to me shooting aircraft, and the D2X that are for sale are only appearing on ebay ..which I have a hatred for, let alone no paypal anymore so thats a nono .............anyone sellin a D2X......please list it here pretty please:lol:

D2X is more my kind of body........chuck it into anything and it performs all the time Scott
 
as for bacon butties get yersen to Breighton on 06/03 and they are on me mate

OT but was that you doing the photography on a clip the BBC showed of some officer chappy giving the troops a pep talk before "the big push"?

I was there working - front-right as viewed from in front of the Brigadier, stood next to a girlie from BFBS TV...

+1 for the D300. It's a D2X killer. Screen, speed, autofocus (more points...faster? questionable). Job done.
 
That money must have been too hot to keep hold of :lol: looks like there is a D200 winging it's way to Pete next week ;)

Enjoy mate, new gear is always something to get excited about. You should be able to get some nice shots of the new roof. :thumbs:
