HI PEEPS, I NOTICED TODAY WHILE HAVING A PLAY WITH MY CAMERA, THAT THERE ARE BLACK SPOTS AS I LOOK THROUGH THE VIEWFINDER, THERE NOT ON THE MIRROR THERE ON THE SENSOR WHERE THE AF POINTS ARE SITUATED, HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING RID OF THEM AND ALSO CLEANING THE MIRROR

THANKS.

Just use a blower - personally a wouldn't use anything else. the mirror is actually the silvered side and is very delicate and easily damaged.

VERY carefully! For the focus screen, a blow with a rocket blower should shift the cack but don't blow too hard, you could blow the grot to inside the viewfinder area (above the focus screen). The mirror's an even trickier customer. It's a first surface reflector (the reflecting metal is on the side of the glass facing you) so the surface is all to easy to damage. TBH, I would send it off to be professionaly cleaned rather than risk it myself.

That doesn't sound right
You can't possibly see black dots on the sensor through the viewfinder, maybe they are in the viewfinder or on the focussing screen.
Shoot photo of a white wall at f22 to see what's on the sensor.

They will be on the focus screen behind the viewfinder.
My advice? Unless it's particularly bad....leave well alone and learn to ignore them. You are likely to end up introducing more dirt in there.

If they don't show up on your photos. As for the mirror I wouldn't even attempt to touch it or clean it either. It's a very very delicate surface (more delicate than you might think).
