Having dropped it on the doorstep, my wife is upset that her trusty Fuji F45fd comes up with a zoom error when switched on. I've tried the usual remedies to no avail, so the hunt is on for a suitable replacement.
She has tried a Fuji AX280 and a Fuji T400, but has always preferred the older F45fd because, in her words " It's much faster".
She means the shot to capture and shot to shot times seem much better than the newer models, and also my Panasonic DMC TZ8.
She also wants a good low light performance and smallish size.
Price isn't too important as she is seriously considering having the F45fd repaired if possible, even though I've told her it would probably cost more than a new camera.
Can anyone give us any pointers to narrow the search?
Many thanks.
P.S The front runner atm is the Fuji F770EXR, supposedly a shutter lag of 0.15 sec.
