Yes
First thing I'd recommend is reading strobist which has more information about off camera lighting than you'll ever need.

The bad news for you is you can't use the 430ex as master so you'll need to get a Canon wireless trigger ST-E2 (I think) to keep ETTL. I'd personally suggest getting a radio trigger and you can go right from the dirt cheap ebay triggers:

Mid range are the skyports

Top end are the pocket wizards

I've got the cactus but there's a reason they're cheap. I've done a few upgrades to them which has made them more reliable but still not perfect. Now I've learn't a thing or two about lighting I'm thinking of upgrading to the Skyports. The Pocket Wizards just aren't worth the cash to me.

Right.
With the 430ex's you need this:

Skyport Universal Trigger Set - http://www.speedgraphic.co.uk/prod.asp?i=16899&1=Elinchrom+EL-Skyport+Universal+Trigger+Set
This includes a transmitter, a receiver, and a charger. The transmitter goes into your cameras hot shoe, and the receiver plugs into your flash.

You'll need another one of the receivers if you want to fire both flashes
Elinchrom Skyport Universal Receiver - http://www.speedgraphic.co.uk/prod.asp?i=17679&1=Elinchrom+EL-Skyport+Universal+Receiver

Now, to connect the receiver to the flash, you'll need one of these for each flash/receiver - http://www.flashzebra.com/wizardcables/hotshoe.shtml

Basically, the flash slides into the hotshoe of the zebraflash cord, and the 3.5mm jack plugs into the receiver.

It will cost you about £200, but my my is it worth it. Opens up a whole new area of photography.

why not buy a 580EX and use on camera as a master/fill, and that'll give you a 3rd light and control the 2x 430EXs? perfectly usable indoors. and it'll let you use ETTL or manual. Should be able to get a good used one for the same £200 it'll cost you for triggers.

Radio is flexible, but sometimes you don't need 400ft ranges for starting off?

or a set of Ebay/Cactus Wireless triggers, enough to do two flashguns would run you about £30-35. Or less if I decide to stick mine up on the sales forum at some point soon ;)

Now I've learn't a thing or two about lighting I'm thinking of upgrading to the Skyports. The Pocket Wizards just aren't worth the cash to me.

I looked at Skyports, but buying PWs from DigitalRev (including paying the VAT/import duty) worked out about the same....
