help uploading photos please

ok after far too many attempts to upload photos to my gallery and getting nowhere other than:bang::bang:
and about to run out of rude words can someone please HELP
i've resized them ok but when i go to upload them it says uploading photos please wait and nothing happens.
what am i doing wrong?
i've no doubt its my fault i am after all a complete numpty with computers ,
all advice gratefully recieved but please answers in english and talk to me as though i' a 2 year old :) thanks in advance.
 
thanks for that robert ,i've looked through the first thread re resizing and have got that right (i think) but missed the second thread re posting ,i'll lok at that after i've calmed down and got my brain back in gear .
off to bed now ,got to get up at sillyoclock in morning !
if i'm still struggling i'll shout out.
p.s any more rude words i can use as it seems to help me;)
