Help with 5d and dual cards

I have for the 1st time put a sd card along with a cf card in my 5d mk3
16gb cf card taking raw and 32gb sd card taking jpeg
the camera is telling me i have 360 shots left on the cf card but it also tells me i have got the same left on the bigger memory card that is only taking jpeg

surely this cant be right or am i missing something
 
It always reports the smaller number of shots available, if it works anything like the 1D series. If you take the CF card out, you should see it change to the number of Jpegs available.
 
sorry 1 last question

when i go to erase images the camera only gives me the option to erase off card 2?
 
and when i do erase off card2 it then says there are no images to view on the back screen even though i know there are raws on card1(because i can see them when i go to formatt card 1)

im confused
 
Time to read the manual I think! :)

You have to switch the LCD between the cards.

What do you mean switch the LCD?
