Please a bit of advice so I buy the right bits
I want a uv filter and a polarizer filter..I believe heliopan are good filters??am I right in thinking I can stack both these filters so they are both on at the same time??
Can I use a lens hood at the same time as filters??do I buy any lens hood or is there a good one to get??
Is there a good type of camera bag...I'm traveling to Mexico so want a bag that will protect the camera and also carry the camera..extra lenses and a few other bits??
Is a extra battery a good idea??

1. Yes heliopan are good filters, No you dont stack a UV filter with a polarizer. A polarizer will do the job just fine.

2.yes you can use a lens hood with a filter fitted, With Sony nex lenses you dont normaly need to buy them sepratley they usualy come as standard accessory.

3 yes get a spare battery. Have a look here for what kind of bag you may need http://www.cambags.com/bag-type.html

Can I ask why you want a UV filter? They serve no purpose, other than to protect the front of the lens from dust etc. If that's what you want one for that's fine, but thats all it will do (apart from slightly degrading image quality and increasing the risk/effect of lens flare).

Plenty of people here use them for protection, and an equal number think they're mad for doing so. ;-). Either way, you don't need to filter out UV rays specifically, so a (cheaper) clear protection filter will "work" just as well.

A gorilla tripod might be a good idea, always happy to spend other peoples money.
