help with setting micro adjustment on af on d750

hi all trying to check if my auto focus is set right so this is what ive done downloaded the chart and set camera to manual on a tripod and using my 24-70 tamron lens set f2.8t and about 1.5 metres away ,focused auto, on centre line (0),should have been about 2.5 metre away on 50mm,but find i cannot see where the scale goes out of focus as the camera is that far away(even wnen i zoom in)if you know what i mean,any advice appreciated cheers,picure added
