Yes
So I’m using a canon 80D and have a godox fv150
. I’m used to using continuous lighting to shoot products but I want to try the strobe light setting, I don’t want to sync it with a cable but wireless can anyone help on how to do that ? Do I need a piece of equipment that goes on the top of my canon ? I’m self taught so I don’t really know which one or how to sync it

Thanks

Not familiar with that particular light but yes I would imagine you need a wireless transmitter to go on the hotshoe of your 80D. I'll let one of the lighting experts advise on models/compatability etc.

The FV150, as with almost everything Godox makes (the exceptions being some very old stuff which probably isn't generally available now) has their 2.4 Ghz Radio receiver built in, so what you need is a Godox Trigger for Canon, either and X1-C, X2-C or XPro-C.
Essential Photo (linked to by Les) rebrand these are the Pixapro ST-III / ST-IV

However, as Trevor said, you'd be better off using a non-led studio strobe (I'd still suggest Godox, so the wireless trigger will control both any new strobe you get, and your existing FX150.
