I've managed to get a hood adapter stuck to the front of my X100T and I can't for the life of me get it off. I've tried grappling with it but my hands are just slipping round :confused:

Any ideas?

I don't think so. It's completely straight, just on unbelievably tight. I started to question whether it was a hood adapter after all or if I was just pulling at the camera lens...

Now where's my rubber gloves :mad:
 
The problem is how to apply unscrewing torque without applying extra forces, sich as side squeeze, which increase the friction and make unscrewing harder. Get a really grippy flat mat such as a silicone or rubber sheet. Place on a hard flat surface such as a table top. Push the hood adapter firmly vertically down on it,and then twist. This applies the maximum unscrewing force along with the minimum side forces which would increase the friction and can distort the shape, increasing the friction even more.
 
sounds stupid but try tightening it sometimes they pop off lol

Yeah @chris malcolm was right, a bit of plastic/rubber ikea draw insert and a bit downward pressure and it came straight off.

Thank god it did because I'm a bit funny about things being stuck... I've been known to smash stuff in anger over such things! :D
