Heron and Pike

[Fisherman]

I have posted this not for any technical appraisal, but to show the size of fish these Heron can get down their neck. I managed to catch the whole sequence from the initial catch and spear and ending with the Heron finally swallowing the pike.

Good capture I've seen a G Heron take a sizeable Redshank fledgling and manage to swallow it

Looks as if it's been played around with a bit espesially inside the birds mouth and eye.
I might be wrong though.

Yes, great capture. That heron will only weigh a little over 3lbs
