Hi everybody,

I am a young aspiring photographer/designer looking to get some feedback on my work to help me improve and this seemed like the best place to get the help I need.

My website is www.rtjdesign.co.uk If Anybody wants to know a bit more about me and see some of my Photography and Digital work.

And I also update my photography blog - http://rtjdesign.wordpress.com/ with my work, I only started it the other day as a way for people to track my progress and gain some inspiration.

Please take your time to look through it and give me your feedback anything helps right?

I look forward to spending time on these forums to get better at my work.

Hi Ryan and welcome.
Some interesting shots on your site http://www.rtjdesign.co.uk/digitalwork.html I like the way the mouseover works but I'm afraid I dont like the way the thumbs stay in front of the photo you want to view. The other site is great! I really like the Manchester shots ( I live in Prestwich) However these pics open up in my browser and are massively too large. I have clicked on 'save picture' and viewed them that way. Well done so far and lets see some photo's posted!

Thanks for the kind words, I am having so trouble at the moment I am using a Nikon D40 and having trouble with noise on the out of focus area of the shots and on the darker areas.

Any ideas of how to fix this? My ISO is set at 200 and I am using an external Flash.

i cannot add much more than was said in your other posting about this problem. Having a quick look around other postings for this subject seems to sugest that it is common with the D40 but shoudn't be a problem to fix in processing. Have a play around with the iso setting untill you get acceptable results. I must add I am not familiar with the D40. Have you taken the shots at the highest quality? Do you process the shots?

Glad you got it sorted. Enjoy your photography!
