(High key) Gannet

Won't be to everyone's taste, but going through my Gannet images from a couple of months ago and I really liked this one.

Probably the intent in the stare

I can see why it appeals Wez, good detail around the eyes .

As it is, it doesn't really do it for me, have you tried a tighter crop putting more emphasis on the head and tried make the pops a little more

Morning Wez

I have looked at it a few times but could not decide what to say, just doesn't do anything for me .. composition is out of balance etc., etc.,

I can see why it may appeal to you when you took the shot because of its closeness but it just does not seem to be "right"

maybe a head and eye shot processed a little stronger could work ..... but would the crop be too big and show too much noise
