I have been experimenting with my new 430EXII flash and found the high speed flash mode that syncs at all shutter speeds (I tried it at 1/1000 sec.). Does anyone know how it works? My only idea was that it must strobe the output somehow - I watched but could not see more than one flash. Thanks

I believe high-speed mode strobes so as the shutter drops down, the sensor is lit equally. The strobe isn't visible because it's so quick. High-speed cuts flash output power dramatically BTW

Thanks, just what I thought!
