Hills instead of mountains

Went out for a hike on my doorstep today, the Clywdian Hills, instead of driving down to my favourite spot - Snowdonia...

weather was mixed again, these 2 shots were taken about 40 minutes apart

really like the first one, was it taken in raw, a little light fill on the front would look perfect.

I lkie the first one, the sun breaking through the clouds really make this one.

I am not so keen on the second one though, for me not really anything of interest in it.

Yes, shot in raw...to be honest I've already added quite a bit of fill, very high contrast shot as you can imagine so the foreground was pretty dark to preserve the light rays, may just try a little more though

I think the 2nd is the best, I might consider dropping some foreground space.
