Home studio kit?

I'm after some advice on a home studio kit please. Flash or constant lighting but I'm yet to look at pros and cons etc. I'm going to be using it for friends and family portraits. I'd like to be able to travel so it must fit in the average size car and I'd like it to include a decent sized backdrop if possible. Thanks in advance

There's many out there that cover all you are wanting. I'm no expert in studio kit, but I'm sure if you give folks your budget, they'd be happy to help

Calumet - I went for Bowens strobe kit - very happy with it and phottix triggers it all works a treat - I need to use it more though....Next on list is a LASTOLITE Hilite setup and a Sekonic 308 lightmeter
