Hot Rod Conversion

Hi All,

I've got a D300 and I'm interested in getting the AA filter removed to improve the sharpness, you can read a little about that process here.

There is of course a trade off between getting some moire patterns but for my shooting I'd be happier with the HR I think.

So to my question :- is there anywhere in the UK that does this conversion or is it hard to do yourself?

(I'm quite handy with electronics but I read that the conversion requires replacing the AA filter with some optical glass that has the same light properties as the AA filter, No idea where I'd find that)

Vision express springs to mind for the glass :shrug:

I've done some reading and it doesn't seem like this is very easy to do on the D300 due to the way the AA filter is mounted.
