Its my sisters 40th, And the family are doing a house party for her, I own a D3000, And I was wondering what settings I should have for it today, I`ll be in and out of the house, So its like sunny/cloudy outside, And the house may be lit by lighting above, if not they will be turned off.

can anyone help?

Thanks

Personally I would stick it in A mode to control the depth of field and let the camera select the shutter speed.

Lowest ISO may be a possibility inside if there is decent lighting.

If its cloudy then change the WB to the cloudy setting and see what happens
If its Sunny do the same of thet setting

Have a play about with the settings and snap loads....see what happens :)

If your not familiar with the settings of your camera I would agree with noneforit as auto setting takes a lot of pressure off you as far as setting the correct lens/aperture.

just my 2cents worth:)
