Hi.

I love this guys work, check out his archive by clicking thumbs.

Likewise here

However, I was wondering how they gets images to the final stage. Amazing PP and something I would like to be able to do. Not loooking to copy a style just get an idea of where or how he PPs.

At a guess I would say multiple layers, levels, curves, dodge and burning, some vignetting and other stuff. I think some stuff has a surface blur too.

I actually emailed chromasia for advice but he never replied, which is fair enough.

Here is an attempt to get something like the effect, before and after.
Any good?

Diego.

I personally prefer the images in the second link as they don't look so over processed.

That's the fella from Blackpool a psychologist by trade i think. He's got a great eye, i don't like photoshop tricks personally, but he's still a very good photographer

Mark tucker is something else

The Chromasia guy seems to use a great deal of post processing - it's a lot like my illustration work - when I get time I'll try to post something like a tutorial.
I find a separate layer of texture (set to overlay or soft light) with a mask applied & select areas erased or darkened/dodged/burned can give results like this (the photo needs to be good to begin with of course but I don't think you'll have a problem there Diego) Keep your eye on Illustration magazines like Computer Arts or Computer Arts Projects as they often have some really good walkthrus on this subject & free textures, etc.
P.S. nicely done Jonny

Moomike that would be good.

I think I am getting there. This is another attempt, but actually slightly more Dragan that chromasia if anything.
