Use Adobe Bridge to sort photos and find out suitable for tone-mapping:

Open my RAW file in Canons DPP software

Change the brightness (exposure) to -2

Convert and Save the -2 image as a tif file...

Set the EV spacing to 1

Use a preset or adjust the sliders to suit your taste

Save as a TIF and Open in Photoshop CS3 for final tweaks etc
