How to get further away?

Hi

I have the Nikon 60mm 2.8 micro lens. It is great, but I have to be very close to the subject. Is there anything I could use that would keep the great 1:1 ratio, but let me shoot from further away? I think the min focal distance is only 20cm I would like something approaching 50cm.

A longer focal length that should help, say 150-200mm?

If you used say a 2X converter, you could get 2:1 at the same working distance, or 1:1 at double the working distance. However the image quality will be affected. I would suggest looking at the Sigma 150mm f2.8 or 180mm f3.8 lenses.
