HP HDX... is this a good buy?

I have a chance a picking un a brand new HP HDX9000 with 500gb( 2 x 250gb SATA) of memory for £650 from work. this is the cost price and seems too good a price to miss.

im going to have to make a quick decision as we only have 15 left... am i wasting my money or is this a bargain?

With something that size I would be thinking about how I would use it - would you be better off with a desktop? How portable is a 20" screen laptop?

Seems a good price for the laptop though.

It seems a pretty good price but remember if you intend carry this about a lot its pretty heavy and not a lot of bags about yet to fit it in seems to have pretty fair reviews and it has pretty high end graphics and memory plus the storage. review here

Thanks for the input guys. i am only really planning to use it at home, doesnt really need to be moved that much as i also have a good laptop, just i cant resist a bargain!
the wife to be may kill me though as i should be saving for our first house and the wedding...

had a chat with the md at work and if i pay for it directly out of my wages, then they will do it pre tax so it only works out about £500!
