Humber Bridge & Skidby Mill at night

Hi All,

Something I don't do very often is night photography. A favourite structure of mine is the Humber Bridge, so I thought I'd try something different. Skidby Mill is another place of interest. Unfortunately the mill was pointing in about the worst position to get a good picture. Got slightly wet feet - must remember to pack a torch next time I decide on doing some night time stuff!

Happy New Year to all,

Nice shots. I like the bridge ones, i think its the mistyness of the clouds

I really like these

Like the second one of the bridge with the light trail on the road below (y)

Seen a few of the bridge at night and it looks great. I fancy a drive down and having a go myself, if they're half as good as these, I'll be happy

I especially like the mill shots, thought the very hot lighted areas are a little distracting.
Cracking set though :)

Nice set, I particulary like the last bridge shot.
I have a couple of questions as I do some night photography and am still learning.

As the clouds are streaky you must have used a long exposure, or was it just very windy?
Did you PS in the moon as it is perfectly round, ( on my night shots it is a slotted shape as they generally tend to be long exposures)?
I think I can see what looks like 3 commets or are they something else?

Thanks for you images please keep them coming.

Regards

Lee
