Looks like a Golden Plover to me Let me just check what the female is like cause the male should have a long black stripe from his face downwards. Could be .......well theres to possibilities (I know you said positive ID`s but I was psitive when I started 
)
I`m 99% sure its a Golden Plover, the black plumage on the belly, the pattern on the wings all points to me to be a golden plover, I saw 2 up in the moors near Eileen Donan (sp?) when I was up last easter.......they make an earie call......well they did when I was up there

I think it might be a Meadow Pipit ( Authus pratensis)
